Download Dead Island 2 PC Game 2015


Announced in 2014, the game has undergone a difficult development period due to multiple changes with the studios working on it. Yager Development was originally hired to develop Dead Island 2 in 2012, but was removed from the project in 2015 and replaced by Sumo Digital the following year. Sumo Digital was also removed, with Dambuster, an internal studio of Deep Silver, becoming the developers in 2019.[2]

Techland was originally set to develop Dead Island 2, but instead they decided to focus on developing Dying Light with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.[4] Deep Silver went looking for a developer until Yager Development pitched the game to Deep Silver in Q3 2012 and got the deal.[5] Yager established a new division, Yager Productions GmbH, for development of Dead Island 2.[6] As announced at Sony's E3 2014 media briefing, Dead Island 2 will be more vibrant than its predecessors.[7] The game was originally scheduled for a Q2 2015 release.[8]


In July 2015, Deep Silver announced that Yager has been dropped from developing the game and development would be moved to another unnamed developer.[10] The managing director of Yager Development, Timo Ullmann, later stated that the company's departure from the project occurred because "Yager and Deep Silver's respective visions of the project fell out of alignment".[11] Yager Productions filed for insolvency in July 2015.[12]


Thanks to a new Destiny 2 Ghost skill for Alexa devices, the game features new hands-free voice commands. Players can now ask their Ghost about Destiny lore, equip items, send messages to friends, and more. By downloading the new skill, more than 1,000 custom voice lines can be initiated by asking "Alexa, ask Ghost..." or "Alexa, tell Ghost..." All of the new dialogue is voiced by the in-game voice actor Nolan North.


This is apparently an older build (one of the screenshots is labelled as June 19th, 2015). With recent news claiming the game is having development troubles, this could even be a scrapped version of what they're working on now.


Eurogamer has verified this build is the work of Spec Ops: The Line maker Yager, which was tasked by publisher Deep Silver with making the zombie sequel before both parties split amid creative differences in July 2015.


What we'd seen of Dead Island 2 showed it as colourful and crazy - an eight-player multiplayer zombie riot in sunny LA. It was playable by press at events throughout the second half of 2014, at a time when the game was due out spring 2015. But in April 2015 it was delayed to 2016, suggesting major problems were afoot.


"And we wanted to have all of that that done for release in spring 2015. We have been looking at the game long and hard, and we have decided we didn't reach that goal we set out to achieve quite yet. This is why we have decided to delay Dead Island 2 to 2016."


It's the Yager version of the game that's in the news today, as a playable build of their take on the zombie kick-em-up has leaked. For obvious reasons we can't link to the download, but it's out there and a variety of YouTubers have been collecting footage. The leaked build is labeled as being from June 19, 2015, just a month before it was canceled.

Dead Island 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original Dead Island, which was released all the way back in 2011 during the Xbox 360 era of gaming. The game, which pits players against hordes of ravenous undead within the confines of a dilapidated and decaying rendition of Los Angeles, was initially announced back in 2014 as a same-generation follow-up to its predecessor. Unfortunately, Dead Island 2 has been trapped in "development hell" since its reveal.


Led by publisher Deep Silver, Dead Island 2 started development in the hands of Yager Development shortly after the release of the first game in the series. In 2015, the studio was replaced by Sumo Digital. After years of total silence from Deep Silver regarding the state of Dead Island 2 (with many excited fans assuming the game had quietly died), it was revealed that Dead Island 2 had shifted hands again. Since 2019, Deep Silver's internal studio, Dambuster Studios, has helmed development of this complicated action-packed title and, finally, brought the dream of Dead Island 2 to fruition.


Dead Island 2 takes place in Los Angeles, otherwise known as LA, the City of Angels, and Hell-A (during a zombie apocalypse, at least). Players will take control of one of six characters, each with a unique personality and dialogue. In the game, Los Angeles has been consumed by a deadly zombie virus that has infected the entire city, leaving millions as mindless husks hungry for human flesh. The American military has given up the city to the virus and quarantined the entire area, preventing anyone from entering or leaving.


The game seems to be in working condition, one Youtuber receiving the download link via private message and proceeded to create a new character in Dead Island 2, although she received a pre-made one with a level of 22.


There's a lot you can do with an island full of zombies. Deep Silver has used the setting for its survival horror action games, Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide, and it's upcoming Dead Island 2, which will launch in 2015. It has used it for its multiplayer online battle arena game, Dead Island Epidemic. Now the same tropical island swarming with the undead is playing host to Escape Dead Island, a survival game that focuses on stealth and mystery.


The game is set after the events of the original Dead Island. The player's character arrives on the island weeks after the initial virus outbreak that turned everyone into zombies. He and his friends are tasked with finding out what happened. The player is not immune to the zombie virus and, at the beginning of the game, is not equipped to fight them, either. This means a lot of the game is spent sneaking around trying to avoid zombies, rather than running into a crowd of them, guns blazing.


In a demo of the game Polygon recently played, the only weapon we had in an early level was a screwdriver. The screwdriver could only take out zombies from behind, which meant we had to be stealthy in our approach. If we were seen, there was no way to fight off the zombies, and our only option was to run. If the character finds himself in a situation where he is surrounded by zombies, he might as well be dead.


The demo we saw also hinted at a supernatural/psychedelic component of the game. The story is told through loops, and players will often be suddenly transported from one part of the island to another with seemingly no explanation. Psychedelic events will happen, and it will be unclear if it's a result of the island itself having supernatural qualities, or if it's all in the character's mind.


Players who are unfamiliar with the previous entries should check out the leaked build from 2015 to know what to expect. But the game has come a long way since then, and a handful of screenshots showcase as much. It looks to be in line with other similar modern games like Dying Light 2: Stay Human.


Dying Light was originally planned to release in 2014.[15] However, on May 8, 2014, Techland announced that the game was delayed until 2015 due to a "desire to innovate", as well as to improve the parkour elements of the game.[16] At E3 2014, Techland announced that Dying Light would have a strong emphasis on role-playing.
